Kitchens with a mirror finish: the Abimis proposal

The most recent international trends have displayed a marked growth in mirror finishes in the world of interior design. Both in living areas and in kitchens. It is no coincidence that the mirror-polished finish is also one of those in highest demand among those available in the Abimis stainless steel kitchen catalogue.

Mirror-finish steel kitchens have a precious, light and dynamic appearance. They make the room look bigger and brighter. They also have the extraordinary ability to communicate with the surrounding space, creating particular plays on reflection and perspective, which are accentuated by the interaction with natural or artificial light.

All the Abimis kitchens – Ego, Atelier and Àtria – are available, on request, in the mirror finish. This aesthetic result comes from a steel polishing process, carried out completely by hand and without using any chemical substances. This craftsmanship does not compromise the high wear resistance and ease of maintenance of the steel.

The soft shapes of Ego, with its 1950s aesthetics accentuated by the flush doors with rounded corners, are further enhanced by the mirror finish. The kitchen thus takes on the appearance of a monolith, a ‘shining’ sculpture that communicates with the surrounding space.

The rounded retro-style handle – which is also the symbol of the Ego line designed by Alberto Torsello – is available with a tone-on-tone finish, a satin finish or in a warm brass nuance.

The glossy effect softens the more square and rigorous lines of Atelier and tones down its strong reference to professional kitchens. The mirror finish, available for the drawers and doors, can be combined with a Scotch Brite or hand-orbitally polished top, according to the customer’s choice.

Even the most compact and architectural lines of the Àtria kitchen lend themselves perfectly to the mirror finish. The glossy kitchen doors create an elegant contrast with the slender feet, on which the bases and handles are set, both available in all selectable RAL colours.

Abimis only recommends the glossy finish for indoor kitchens.
