From the kitchen to the wine cellar, to the catering areas and bars: Prisma has been supplying all the tailor-made installations for catering on ships for forty years.
There is a company based in northern Italy, in S. Polo di Piave (TV), known for the production of kitchens, bar counters and equipment for the preparation, storage and display of food and drinks in the yacht & cruise world. Since 1983, Prisma has been delivering totally tailor-made installations to shipyards: a story that began with Fincantieri for the Micoperi 7000 project, then the largest crane vessel in existence, and which now has active partnerships with the main shipping companies including Costa Crociere, MSC Crociere, Tirrenia di Navigazione, the US Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Monaco’s Silversea luxury fleet and the Swiss line Viking Cruises.
AISI 304 and 316 stainless steel are the main materials that give rise to all solutions, processed with craftsmanship through an ISO 9002, ISO 9001/2008 certified process and according to the USPHS regulations, specific to the cruise sector. The design, which goes through every step from concept to running-in, can then be fully customised, including the integration of refined finishes or the design of elements with original shapes. This flexibility, part of the company’s DNA, makes it particularly suited to creating tailor-made accessories not only for the cruise world but also for the world of yachts and superyachts, both for the technical areas used by the crew and for the communal areas.
For the Genoa Boat Show, scheduled to take place from 21 to 26 September, Prisma provided the VIP lounge with a heavy duty element for professional preparation and serving cocktails, with customised finishes to perfectly complement the interior design of the area.
